Randy is a seasoned business litigator and civil attorney.  Formerly a partner at the law firm of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, his experience encompasses favorable resolution of a broad range of complex lawsuits and class actions in federal and state courts, including claims involving business contracts, securities, fiduciary duties, trade secrets, intellectual property (trademark, copyright, counterfeit security and brand protection), insurance, unfair competition, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, employment law, banking law, and the RICO Act.  Randy has represented significant international corporations and insurance carriers, as well as small and mid-size companies with a Southern California presence.  He has extensive experience researching and writing on complex legal issues and is a frequent lecturer to fellow attorneys throughout California.  

 

Randy also serves as "outside general counsel" to a variety of companies, advising them on day-to-day legal matters such as employment issues to major transactions and strategic business decisions.    

 

Randy receives much fulfillment from giving his time to others.  He has provided pro bono legal services to clients of the Public Law Center in Orange County and Public Counsel in Los Angeles.  He has been appointed as a Trial Litigator on the Civil Rights Pro Bono Panel for the United States District Court - Central District of California. Finally, Randy serves on the Board of Directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County.

Cathleen’s practice focuses on general corporate law.  Her corporate practice includes business formation, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and general business and corporate law compliance and advice.

 

Cathleen was previously an attorney with the international law firms of Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP and Bryan Cave LLP.  Her practice at these firms consisted of a broad range of corporate law matters.  She regularly handled private investment transactions, corporate and securities law compliance, corporate governance, M&A and various commercial transactions.  Most recently, Cathleen served as in-house corporate counsel at Samsung Electronics.

 

Cathleen is fluent in Cantonese Chinese.
